đ Warren Buffetâs Berkshire Hathaway Continues To Sell Stock
Economic uncertainty persists as Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffetâs holding company, sold $36 billion in stock from July to September.
The company only bought $1.5 billion of shares, reaching two straight years as net sellers.
The headlines: Berkshire Hathaway now holds a record $325 billion in cash ⌠and it offloaded about 25% of its remaining Apple stake, dumping shares for a fourth consecutive quarter.
Buffetâs company holds enough cash to buy all 32 NFL franchises** â and still have enough money left over to buy Starbucks.**
One theory behind the move: Buffetâs belief that higher taxes âare quite likelyâ could be contributing to the cash stockpile.
Interestingly, Clark also believes that taxes will go up significantly at some point, but this doesnât affect his long-term investing strategy.
No one knows why Buffet is appearing to act bearish on the stock market. But remember, itâs a strategy heâs pursued for eight quarters now.
As a regular everyday investor, Clark strongly cautions against trying to time the stock market. Heâd prefer that you continue to invest the same amount from every paycheck, relying on dollar-cost averaging to even you out over time.
