🛳️ Travel: Take a Minute To Dream

Coming off Labor Day, and just after the start of the school year, you’ve probably either just traveled or you’re daydreaming about traveling.

Lately, some extreme trips have gone viral in the news.

These mega trips are fascinating not because we recommend that someone spend six figures on a trip. But because it can inspire and expand our minds on what types of adventures are possible.

For example, TCS World Travel will take you to all seven continents on a private jet within 29 days. Among the destinations: the Pyramids of Giza, Machu Picchu and the Great Barrier Reef.

The trip includes a private chef, physician and lay-flat seats on the jet – all for the price of $205,000.

Princess Cruise is offering a 129-day trip visiting 20 countries and 61 destinations for about $30,000 per person in a “cheaper” (read: quotation marks around cheaper) whirlwind tour of cities such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, Singapore, Honolulu and Vancouver.

The article reporting that 129-day cruise mentions three other wild, long cruises.

The government will cover up to $53.55 one-way or $107.10 round-trip, plus a checked bag, via six different airlines. The country’s tourism board is trying “to push tourists beyond Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai.”

📊 Stat of the Day

💸 4,400: Number of ETFs that exist in the United States now. That’s more than there are individual stocks. ETFs are a good alternative to mutual funds in that, outside of a retirement account, they won’t run up as much of a tax bill for you.
