🫧 Washing Thanksgiving Dishes the Easy Way

Dreading the enormous pile of dirty dishes tomorrow after your Thanksgiving meal?

There’s good news. Citing research by The Good Housekeeping Institute, Clark says that you shouldn’t pre-rinse your dishes at all before loading them into your dishwasher.

“It’s clear as could be,” Clark says. “The reality is dishwashers clean your stuff better when you don’t pre-rinse it.”

The study tested 17 dishwasher models over a period of 374 hours with the dirtiest dishes with zero pre-rinsing.

But the Washington Post found that many people just don’t believe the evidence – or that it even “provoked a visceral response.”

Wanting to test the theory and save time while you’re digesting your turkey and cranberry sauce? This week is your chance.

“We have these machines to make our lives easier. We love having the machines and then we don’t trust them to do their job,” Clark says. “Try it. You’ll like it!”
