🚘 Top 10 Car Dealership Brands By Desirability
Sometimes seeing vehicles through the lens of dealerships can help us understand which brands are most in demand.
Arguably, that’s at least a factor in trying to find a vehicle that’s reliable and will retain its value.
Here are the top 10 car dealership brands by franchise desirability (what car dealerships business folks most want to own):
Toyota
Lexus
Honda
Subaru
Mercedes-Benz
BMW
Kia (+1)
Chevrolet (+2)
Ford
Porsche (-3)
Toyota (and luxury brand Lexus) top the desirability list. Toyota averaged 1,736 new-vehicle sales per store in 2025.
Nissan (not pictured) climbed five spots, but is still far below the 10th spot on the list in 19th place.
Chevrolet, Kia and GMC also moved up the rankings. All three have enjoyed valuation increases.
Porsche fell three spots.
Audi is sliding and “is the only luxury brand to see its valuation multiple cut this quarter.” It is the only brand “where sentiment and valuation moved down together.”
Infiniti is in dead last. CDJR, Volkswagen, Lincoln and Volvo round out the bottom five.
