💻️ Tech Tip From Kim Komando
You don’t know me: If you use ChatGPT on the web, you might notice it starting to “remember” things about you, like your movie tastes or knowledge about specific topics. This can mean more tailored answers for you, but if you’d rather the AI forget who you are, click your profile picture (top right) then Settings > Personalization > Clear ChatGPT’s memory. 📺️ YouTube Beats Netflix, Others on TV Viewership
Move over, Netflix. The Blockbuster killer gets all the headlines these days. But it’s YouTube TV that’s winning hearts and minds – or at least TV screen time – of Americans.
The nation slowly is switching from watching network TV and cable to streaming. And YouTube claimed nearly one-eighth of monthly TV usage in the United States in April, its highest-ever share.
Earlier this year, YouTube announced that viewership on TV outgrew viewership on smartphones. The company is introducing AI ads in an attempt to capitalize by continuing to grow its ad revenue.
Here’s the share of monthly TV viewership by platform:
YouTube: 12.4%
Disney: 10.7%
Paramount: 8.9%
NBCUniversal: 8.2%
Netflix: 7.5%
FOX: 6.8%
Warner Bros. Discovery: 6.7%
Amazon: 3.5%
