🐶 Amazon’s Online Pharmacy Expands to Pets

No longer will pet owners have to go to Chewy, PetSmart or the local vet to procure medicine for their favorite animals.

Amazon, which launched a digital pharmacy in 2020 including free delivery for Prime members, has expanded to service the health of your pets.

The company announced last week that it has added “hundreds of commonly prescribed pet medications,” including flea and tick solutions and treatments for chronic conditions.

Amazon is partnering with Vetsource, an online pet pharmacy, to fulfill orders, while running all queries through a veterinarian.

This places Amazon in direct competition with Walmart, which already offers online pet prescriptions.

Amazon also acquired One Medical for $3.9 billion in 2022 and PillPack in 2018.

📊 Stat of the Day

🚗 $1.2 billion: The amount of money that tariffs will cost Toyota in April and May alone, according to the world’s top automaker. Ford ($1.5 billion) and Rivian ($1.9 billion) expect to lose less than $2 billion for a full year, making the two-month Toyota number even more extreme.
