🛳️ The Mac Daddy of All Luxury Cruise Ship Living
There’s living on a cruise ship and there’s LIVING ON A CRUISE SHIP.
It’s expensive under normal conditions, Clark says. Partially because you’re typically buying a cabin as opposed to renting.
But living aboard the luxury ship The World is outrageous. Purchase prices range from $2.4 million to $15 million according to CNBC, which added that those figures don’t include maintenance fees amounting to roughly 10% of the purchase price each year.
The 165 “apartments” are as small as 290 square feet (for more than $2 million!) and as large as 3,240 square feet.
At least residents get to dock in about 100 ports per year, staying two to five days instead of just hours. The World also includes all the entertainment and dining options of an upscale cruise operation. And those maintenance fees at least include $33,000 of food and beverage credits.
And you thought your summer cruise in the Caribbean was expensive.
