Tek in Georgia: "I was driving from Atlanta to Miami during the Christmas holidays of 2004. I got back on the highway after a pitstop in Macon. I couldn't find any good music radio stations so I was stuck listening to the Clark Howard show with a lot of radio static. I heard him say the magic trigger phrase "nobody ever got rich paying interest to Visa and Mastercard." As soon as I got back home, I paid off my balances in full (was carrying a balance because I thought it would help my credit score). That event is engraved in my memory. Thanks Clark."
