Years ago, Black Friday was the singular shopping day ahead of the holidays. Now, Clark says, the entire month of November is filled with bargains.
That’s especially true when retailers go through a weaker back-to-school sales cycle. Because stores want to defray the risk of not selling enough Christmas inventory by spreading out deals, which they have to buy far in advance.
