Lab-grown diamonds doubled their market share from 18% to 36% from 2020 to 2022. Clark loves them because they’re much cheaper and because they offer environmental and humanitarian advantages.
Even if you want a traditional dug-from-the-earth diamond, polished diamond prices are down about 27% from their peak in 2022. You can thank the lab-grown variety for the price competition.
