🏠️ Today’s Current Mortgage Rates

According to Freddie Mac, 30-year mortgage rates are 6.48% and 15-year rates are 5.79% as of June 4, 2026. The following chart shows the 30-year mortgage rate trend over the last year.

🛒 Amazon Passes Walmart in Total Revenue

Amazon replaced Walmart at the top of the Fortune 500, ending the Arkansas value retailer’s 13-year run atop the list.

The company Jeff Bezos founded in 1994 debuted on the Fortune 500 just more than 20 years ago at No. 492. It surpassed $700 billion in revenue last year.

Walmart and Amazon may seem like bizarre “competitors” at face value, but have increasingly clashed over market share in recent years.

Walmart has built out a vast distribution network and has competed as an e-commerce giant. While Amazon increasingly has attempted to compete in categories like groceries, buying Whole Foods and attempting various versions of physical markets.

Clark occasionally has pointed out he’s a bigger fan of Walmart’s annual membership (Walmart+), currently $98 per year. Amazon Prime costs $139 per year. (If you’re maximizing your benefits, which is an important distinction, you can get plenty of value out of either.)

Amazon posted Q1 sales of $181.5 billion, up 17% year-over-year. That’s on pace for $726 billion for 2026.

UnitedHealth Group, Apple and Alphabet rounded out the top 5 largest U.S. companies by revenue.
