Ever walk through an airport and think to yourself, “This must be the busiest airport in the world?”
Well, if you’re in Atlanta, you’re correct. In 2025, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport once again topped the list as the world's busiest airport by passenger numbers.
The Delta Air Lines hub is within a two-hour flight of 80% of the U.S. population.
The difference between first and third (14.6 million passengers) was greater than the distance between third and 10th (9.3 million passengers) by a wide margin.
Here are the 10 busiest airports in the world based on 2025 data:
